CITY UNDER CONTROL.

The city grows and functions completely under control. Challenging the chaos and developmental approaches of existing cities, it expands according to a different method or system. A system that celebrates processes of refurbishment, equal programmatic distribution, city centres and vertical living. Programs within the city are arranged individually and equally to organise and control movement of pedestrians. Vertical living is achieved through the stacking of these programs and the connection of each individual program to one another. As a result, the number of people the city can accommodate inside buildings increase causing vehicle travel to become limited, therefore, reducing density of cars and pedestrians outside and carbon footprint. The interior of buildings propose a space that is flexible and adaptable, defined by furniture and other items in contrast to the predefined functionality of levels that make up the city. Additionally, the city’s growth operates according to the process of refurbishment that occurs frequently but randomly. City centres emerge as they become influenced by these new refurbishments and temporarily thrive as a central point for additional building development.
